getting there
Saturday, November 6, 2010 at 1:06PM getting the house together, slowly but surely. by NO MEANS is it ready to be photographed yet. there are still boxes shoved in corners, and piles of miscellaneous papers and books abound. but we are starting to at least make decisions about the baby's room, which is great. here are two decisions we've come to:
1. crib - even though we wont really need this for the first few months i want this baby's room DONE before baby even thinks about coming down the pike

2. wallpaper

here is a picture of the full repeat in someone else's house, which looks so lovely

i wish we could paint our wooden floors white - but alas, we cannot so i'm going to get a nice pretty rug to cover the practically black hardwood floors. also, i haven't made a decision on a rocking chair, but the one that strikes me the most is this one from fawn and forest (i would maybe paint the base white wsince the black makes it look kind of harsh and intense):

we would most likely have turquoise or sea green (the color of the birds in the wallpaper) lined silk drapes, similar to shown below, but a bit greener:

here is a total overlook of the room thus far, give or take a little bit.
voila!
here's hoping it comes together.
